I am thankful for the work I do as a paid journalist. Not groveling for it, just glad I get to, and that it dovetails with what I love so often.
No, I won’t be highlighting pieces written for this newsletter. Instead, I’m spotlighting stuff I do as a paid journalist. (Some of you do pay me for this. Thank you!) This isn’t everything I’m happiest with, by any means—I only mention the big RS list in passing, I’m skipping the Trax lawsuit story simply because, you know, try and pick just one set, and I’m saving the one sets I know that utilized Beyoncé as well as her own album did for next week. A work year in which I can overlook those three pieces is a good work year indeed. These are in chronological order by date of publication. Enjoy.
