It's fun to let someone else drive for a bit, so to speak. The pool of DJ sets is so wide, and there is so little guidance, that giving myself over to a month’s worth of shows from one online station or a season’s worth of new residents on another has yielded real dividends. It helps focus my listening—and, I hope, yours—in useful ways, and it affords me a broader view of the landscape than merely following the algorithm, pleasurable though that is.
