Too late for year-end, too good to ignore

Starting January 1, 2026, I tried, I really did, to pretend that I would or could ignore everything that predated it for consideration here, simply to keep my sanity in check (cf. BC159). Inevitably, it didn’t hold—how could it? The algorithm wants what it wants, though it bears noting that I heard Ben UFO and Perlon before any of the others, each the result of very different targeted searches. I’m glad they led me here.
