One year, many histories

Every week, I watch a movie with my friend and upstairs neighbor, Nate Patrin, alternating selections; sometimes these include documentaries. The first two items, my choices both, came from that setting; the others I watched alone on devices, and I saw all of them between February and July. They’re in the order released to their streamers (that’s how I watched the PBS one), which in the middle three cases differs some (or a lot, in Liza’s case) with their first theatrical showings, but c’est la vie.
